Transfer Checklist
Four things to line up at your current registrar before you check out.
Turn the registrar lock (transfer lock) off for each domain in your old registrar's control panel. Our results table shows which ones are still locked.
Request the EPP / auth code for every domain — usually under "Transfer" in the domain settings. Paste them all at once with "Paste auth codes".
Make sure the registrant email on each domain is one you can read — you may need to approve the transfer from a confirmation email.
Once your old registrar approves, most transfers complete within 5–7 days. Your website and email keep working throughout — nothing goes offline.

Each domain transfers independently, so moving 50 domains takes about as long as moving one. Once you check out and your current registrar approves, most transfers complete within 5–7 days — many finish sooner if you approve the confirmation email or accept the transfer in your old registrar’s control panel. Your websites and email keep working the whole time.
A transfer costs the same as a 1-year renewal for that extension, and that year is added on top of whatever time you have left — so you are effectively paying for renewal, not for the move itself. The results table shows the exact price per domain and the “Add to cart” button totals everything before you check out. There are no per-domain transfer fees.
No. A transfer keeps all the remaining time on each domain and we add one extra year on top. If a domain expires on 1 March 2027 today, it will expire on 1 March 2028 after the transfer completes. The only exception is a domain that has already expired and been renewed by your old registrar in the last 45 days — in that case the registry may not credit the extra year, per ICANN policy.
The authorization code — also called an EPP code, auth-info or transfer key — is a unique password that proves you own the domain and approve the move. You get it from your current registrar, usually in the domain settings under “Transfer”, “Authorization code” or “Get EPP code”; some registrars email it to the registrant contact. Enter it in the “Auth code” column, or use “Paste auth codes” to fill many at once as “domain,code” lines.
Registrar lock (the clientTransferProhibited status) is a safety feature that blocks transfers until you switch it off. Log in to your current registrar, open the domain, and turn off “Registrar lock”, “Transfer lock” or “Domain lock”. Then click the refresh icon next to the lock status in our results table — once the registry shows the domain as unlocked, the “Add” button becomes available. Some registrars take a few minutes to publish the change.
ICANN rules do not allow a domain to be transferred within 60 days of its initial registration or of a previous registrar transfer. Some registrars also apply a 60-day lock after a change to the registrant’s name or email. Domains in that window will be rejected by the registry, so leave them out of this list for now and add them once the 60 days have passed — everything else in your portfolio can move today.
